Glasgow Cathedral is located about a mile to the east of George Square. It date back to the 5th century when St Mungo founded a monastery there.
If you are spending time in Glasgow, the present cathderal is a must see. It dates back to the early 13th century, and is the only pre-Reformation cathedral remaining in the whole of Scotland.
