Nigerian carrying drugs via Glasgow airport remanded for trial
A Nigerian has been remanded in custody at Paisley Sheriff Court charged with illegal importation of cocaine with a value of up to £100,000. The court appearance follows the arrest at Glasgow Airport of Victor Adedun, 45, of Lagos.
Adedun was held for questioning after he arrived on a flight earlier this month. He is alleged to have been concerned in the supply of the Class A drug, contrary to the Misuse of Drugs Act.
He was fully committed after his brief appearance on petition represented by his defence agent Gordon Ritchie, and was remanded in custody by Sheriff Colin Pettigrew.
