Thomas Cook base sixth plane at Glasgow
28.04.10
Glasgow Airport could be in line to gain more flights this summer after Thomas Cook announced it is basing an extra aircraft at the Scottish hub. The holiday airline currently serves 29 routes from Glasgow Airport and the new plane means it will have six situated there this summer.
Destinations in Turkey, Egypt and Tunisia will be available from the airline for the first time this summer season, as well as popular and long established routes to traditional destinations in Spain, Greece and the Canary Islands. Long-haul flights, including Mexico and Florida, can also be taken from the airport.
Amanda McMillan, managing director of Glasgow Airport, said that the move was ‘great news’ for the airport and for holidaymakers.
