Ash problems see big jump in twitter followers

Glasgow Airport’s social media offering was crucial for travellers during the recent flight disruption caused by volcanic ash cloud. Its twitter following has jumped by 44% since the first airspace closures on April 15, as more holidaymakers and business travellers choose to get their information by ‘following’ the airport, a spokesman said.
