New Irish flights announced
27.01.10
Aer Arann and Aer Lingus have joined forces to offer new flights to Dublin and Cork from Prestwick Airport. The Irish airlines have signed a franchise arrangement that will see a new service to Cork launch and increased frequency on flights to Dublin from March 28.
The new services will be branded 'Aer Lingus Regional' and operated by an Aer Arann crew using an ATR 72-500 aircraft. Amanda McMillan, managing director at Glasgow Airport, said: ‘Ireland is one of Scotland's biggest overseas markets. This new partnership will offer even greater opportunity for business and leisure travel between Scotland and Ireland, with the increased frequency on the important Glasgow to Dublin route particularly good news.’
