BA seeks maintenance apprentices
24.07.10
BA is to recruit ten apprentices for its programme based at Glasgow Airport. The British Airways maintenance division scheme has already seen 17 apprentices progress through the training, with all of them getting jobs with the firm.
The scheme is an award-winning programme run by Ayr College and British Airways Maintenance Glasgow (BAMG) designed to meet the requirements of the airline's Glasgow Airport facility. It teaches students how to maintain a range of aircraft, with the apprentices working towards a HNC in Aeronautical Engineering.
BAMG training manager Stuart Stevenson said: ‘Scotland has a long and illustrious tradition of producing engineers of the highest calibre. The need for top-quality engineers in the aviation industry continues to grow.’
For details, visit the BA website. The deadline for applications is July 31.
