21.04.11
easyJet is to relaunch flights between Glasgow and Amsterdam this winter, with a daily flight aimed at the city break and business travel markets, and also targeting Dutch travellers taking short breaks in Scotland. The budget airline dropped the route in 2005, but believes it will carry around 85,000 passengers a year on the route when it launches on October 31.
The flights will be easyJet’s 15th destination from Glasgow, and the airline said it other developments including a fourth daily Gatwick flight, its new route to Jersey and deployment of an 180-seat Airbus A320 would increase its capacity at the hub by about 250,000 seats a year.
