Terror alert over suspect package

Glasgow Airport suffered a terror alert yesterday, after staff discovered of a suspicious package. The alarm was raised shortly after 10:00, when the suspect item was spotted in the main terminal.
Police officers were called to the scene and they removed the packet and took it away for examination. This showed that the item was harmless.
A spokesman for Strathclyde Police said that the airport was not evacuated during the incident and that a 28-year-old man was helping detectives with their inquiries. It is unclear whether it was an innocent mistake, or something more sinister.
