19.01.10
Charter airline Kiss Flights has announced that it is to launch flights from Glasgow Airport, replacing some of the capacity lost following the collapse of FlyGlobespan. Kiss, which already operates flights from 8 UK airports outside Scotland having launched just last year following the collapse of charter airline XL, will launch 12 summer routes to Mediterranean destinations from the airport April.
The new routes from Glasgow will include flights to summer sun destinations in Spain, Portugal, Greece, Cyprus and Turkey. The flights will be operated on behalf of Kiss by Swedish airline Viking using a Boeing 737 aircraft. A spokesman said: ‘We are enjoying a period of strong growth and are delighted to be able to offer these flights from Glasgow Airport.'
