Flybe installs check-in kiosks
18.04.08
Flybe has installed 64 new self service electronic check-in kiosks at airports across the UK, 'offering passengers the additional choice and most hassle-free method of check-in,' a spokesman said. Initial use of the machines has exceeded its expectations, with over 40% of Flybe’s customers them.
Simon Lilley, Flybe Director of Marketing, said: ‘We are committed to getting the millions of passengers we carry each year through check in as quickly and efficiently as possible. These machines minimise queuing and really speed things up, allowing passengers to better enjoy their travel experience with Flybe.'
‘We are pleased with the customer uptake, however we are not surprised that such hassle free check-in channels are proving so popular. We will now be focusing on driving usage even higher, plus working on implementation of the next step, which will see passengers checking-in by mobile phone.’
The new SelfServ kiosks were installed at 13 UK airports at which Flybe is based. They are now available at Exeter, Guernsey, Inverness, Aberdeen, Newquay, Jersey, Leeds Bradford, Robin Hood, Norwich, Southampton, Cardiff, Isle of Man and Glasgow Airport.
