Management reshuffle sees new boss at Aberdeen, Gatwick and Glasgow Airport
Airport operator BAA announced a boardroom reshuffle yesterday. It includes the appointment of a new finance director at BAA Scotland and a new managing director at Aberdeen, Glasgow and Gatwick airports.
Alan Barr is take up the top finance post at BAA Scotland. He has spent the last year as managing director at Glasgow airport and succeeds long-serving finance director Douglas Dewar, who is appointed interim commercial director ahead of his retirement in June.
Gordon Dewar, who has held roles at transport operators Arriva and FirstGroup, will become the new managing director at Glasgow Airport. His appointment takes effect on 5 February.
Meanwhile, Kevin Brown has been appointed managing director of Aberdeen airport with immediate effect. Mr Brown - previously customer services director at the airport - succeeds Andy Flower, who heads south to take up the post of managing director at Gatwick Airport.
