Council approve Glasgow airport rail link
Councillors in Renfrewshire backed a £160 million rail link between central Glasgow and the city's airport yesterday. In approving the plan, they cited the 'significant benefits' it would bring, including job creation and better access to the airport.
The news comes a day after it was announced that the project is a year behind schedule. The rail link is not expected to be operational before 2009, a year later than originally planned.
