Flyglobespan to launch Boston flights
Glasgow Airport is to gain direct flights to Boston in the USA, more than a decade after the route was last in service. Scottish low-cost airline Flyglobespan will launch a daily year-round service to the US city next spring.
Flyglobespan has already successfully launched services from Glasgow to Sanford, near Orlando. The airline's chairman, Tom Dalrymple said: 'Boston is a very exciting destination. The city itself is very popular with tourists and it is also the gateway to some of the most beautiful scenery in North America.'
'We have more planes coming in next year and more places we want to fly to. If Scots continue to support our routes, we would be delighted to bring more services here.'
He has previously signalled interest in destinations like Las Vegas, San Francisco and Los Angeles and is already set to launch flights to New York from Liverpool.
