New Glasgow Airport business link launched
A bus company has launched a dedicated service for between Glasgow Airport and the city centre aimed at business travellers. The Hotel Hopair service, run by Scottish Citylink, will run on a seven-day timetable.
Pick up points for the new link will operate at Glasgow Airport, the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre and George Square. It will also pick up on demand at major city centre hotels participating in the new service. People carriers will be used in the new service, which will cost £5 single and £9 return.
Steve Walker, general manager of Scottish Citylink, said: 'Glasgow Airport is a vital gateway for people visiting or leaving the city on business which is why we were keen to launch a service to ensure they have a hassle-free way to get to their destinations. We are delighted to have top city centre hotels on board for this service which is the first of its kind in Scotland.'
Lesley Sawers, chief executive of Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, said: 'Improving connections between the city and Glasgow Airport is vital to facilitate good working links nationally and internationally.'
