Weather disrupts Spanish Ryanair flight

Strong winds, heavy rain and lightning on Friday night caused a g Ryanair flight from Glasgow to San Javier Murcia to be diverted to Alicante, the Leader reports. However, things went from bad to worse when a number of passengers refused to reboard the flight, and 3 were arrested !
The plane landed at Alicante at around 21:00 and passengers were informed that the flight would be refuelled and once the weather had cleared, continue to Murcia. At this point a number of passengers asked to disembark immediately, but this request was refused.
The plane was ready for takeoff again at 22:00, but a number of passengers continued to refuse to fly. Matters got so heated that the Police were called and at least 3 passengers were arrested.
As it was necessary for the luggage of these 3 passengers to be taken off the plane, the luggage of all other passengers also had to be removed and a decision was then taken to transport all passengers to Murcia by coach. At 12 midnight, the passengers were still wait for the coach.
