Snow strands passengers at Glasgow Airport for up to 48 hours
Bad weather has stranded a number of passengers heading for Northern Ireland at Glasgow airport. The airport had to close on Sunday from 01:00 - 16:00 because of heavy snowfall and while it has re-opened, a backlog of flights has meant many people were delayed for up to 48 hours.
Alison Graham, who was on a hen weekend in Glasgow, was due to fly home on Sunday, but said her party would have to until today. She said: 'The earliest flight we can get home is Tuesday. There was a forecast for snow, but we didn't expect, or I don't think Scotland expected, the downfall they got.'
