Passenger escapes over 12 foot razor wire fence

The Sunday Post newspaper has reported that a passenger arriving on an international flight in to Glasgow Airport dramatically escaped by breaking out of the arrivals terminal, scaling a 12-foot high razor-wire fence and fleeing into the night. The news comes the day after we reported an expert's concerns over protecting an airport's perimeter, in that case from intruders.
Police are trying to find the passenger, who broke through emergency doors at the airport and escaped by climbing a 12-foot razor wire fence. The passenger had arrived on an international flight on Monday night, but details of the incident were only released by the newspaper yesterday.
Strathclyde Police have told the Post that they were helping the Border and Immigration Agency and BAA to trace the person. A spokesman added that the incident 'did not pose any threat to passengers or anyone else using the airport,' and that officers are working with the airport in reviewing security at the terminal building.
