Passengers continue to fall
Passengers at Glasgow Airport have plummeted by more than a fifth in the last two years, and showing no sign of a recovery. Figures released by BAA yesterday show the airport handled 715,200 passengers last month - down 151,000 on the same month last year.
A spokesman for the airport said fewer people are flying. However, bEdinburgh Airport reported passengers up 3.8% on a year ago, its seventh straight monthly rise, with Gatwick and Heathrow also reporting higher passengers last month than in 2008.
