Record international passengers as overall traffic dips
Glasgow Airport had a record 500,000 international passengers last month, more than the combined figure at Edinburgh and Aberdeen airports. However, overall passengers were down by 1.8 percent in the month.
The overall passenger number for Glasgow Airport last month was 891,027, 1150 down on the same month last year. There was a 9% decrease in the number of passengers flying to London, plus a 7% drop in charter traffic on overall flights.
Managing Director of Glasgow Airport Alan Barr, said: 'International traffic continues to grow and we are confident new flights to Las Vegas, Toronto, Boston and Barbados next year will result in further growth.'
