Icelandair flights to return
10.05.09
Icelandair is to resume flights from Glasgow Airport in August. The airline suspended its service to Reykjavik, which had run for more than 60 years, because of the economic situation in its home country, but will resume twice weekly flights on August 27.
Amanda McMillan, managing director of Glasgow Airport, said that Iceland is a ‘must see’ destination, with the strength of the pound against the Krona making it even more appealing right now. She said: ‘This is excellent news for anyone interested in visiting this historic and fascinating country.'
