Dubai route nears 1m passengers

Emirates Glasgow Airport - Dubai route is set to hit 1 million passengers, as the airline celebrated the fifth anniversary of the service. In addition to being popular with Scottish travellers, over 300,000 overseas visitors from destinations throughout the Emirates network have used the service to visit Scotland, contributing more than £140m to the economy.
Vic Sheppard, Emirates' VP UK, said: ‘Our Glasgow service is an incredible success story. We are delighted with the route.’
