09.12.11
Scotland's Finance Secretary, John Swinney, has promised to investigate ways that he can help Glasgow Airport attract more airlines and new routes, the Evening Times reports He made the promise when speaking to an audience of businessmen and women in the city.
Mr Swinney invited the business people to come to the Scottish Government with ideas for support, and promised that they would be considered. Speaking the day after the UK Government announced it would increase in the much-criticised Air Passenger Duty by 8 percent in April, he added that he understood the anger at the Chancellor’s latest tax rise.
