Fresh ash threat today

Passengers could face disruption again today, as northerly winds are expected to bring volcanic ash back over Ireland and western Scotland. Some Scottish airports were closed this morning, Highland and Islands Airports Limited (HIAL) said.
Barra, Benbecula, Kirkwall, Inverness, Stornoway and Tiree airports are expected to be shut until at least 13:00. Other UK airports could also be affected by the flight disruption, with passengers advised to visit the airport website or contact their airline for the latest information.
