Airport wants China flights

Direct flights could be set to take off from Glasgow Airport for China. The Evening Times reports that Chinese officials will visit Scotland early next year to discuss a direct flight between the two countries.
Glasgow and Edinburgh airports would both be the contenders for the route, which could be the most distant destination served by a Scottish airport. At just over 5000 miles the Chinese capital, Beijing, is around 250 miles further away than Vancouver, the current longest flight from Glasgow.
