easyJet Glasgow airport passengers help to raise over £200,000 for charity
The generousity of easyJet's passengers travelling from Glasgow airport helped the airline raise over £200,000 for the National Society for Epilepsy. easyJet made a corporation donation of £50,000 to the charity and nationally easyJet's UK passengers helped boost the figure to more than £200,000.
Actor Bill Nighy, an ambassador for the charity, thanked the budget airlines staff and passengers who raised the money. 'I'm delighted the partnership between NSE and easyJet, which we launched a year ago, has been so successful - both in raising money for research and raising awareness of a condition such as epilepsy, which is still so often misunderstood.'
'NSE is at the cutting-edge of research into the causes and treatment of epilepsy - working towards a goal of seizure freedom for all,' he said.
