Over 70 members of staff at Glasgow Airport have been honoured for their fundraising efforts. The BAA i-Volunteer Awards recognise the work of airport staff who give their time to the community. This year saw a record 71 entries from Glasgow, with two of the staff members scooping the award for Most Supportive Manager and the runner-up prize for Best Volunteering Individual.
The total raised by staff was just under £20,000. Amanda McMillan, managing director of Glasgow Airport, said: ‘I am immensely proud of the volunteers, who make a real difference to their community. We see ourselves as a community airport. With a record number of entries this year, the team has done us proud, raising more money for good causes than ever before.’
