Air Southwest to launch flights to Plymouth and Newquay
It was not announced, but Air Southwest are to launch flights between Glasgow Airport and both Newquay and Plymouth, an eagle eyed reader has pointed out.
The airline recently announced new flights from the Devon and Cornwall airports to a range of destinations including Newcastle, but the Glasgow links were not in the press release we saw last week. However, the Glasgow Airport website says:
Newquay and Plymouth - new for 2008
From next April, low cost airline Air Southwest will fly daily to Newquay and Plymouth, with one way flights from as little as £35 including taxes. The south west offers fantastic beaches, rolling countryside, picturesque harbour-side towns and villages and top class hotels and restaurants.
And the press release on the website now includes details of the flights. The route will operate daily between Plymouth and Glasgow via Newquay (with no need to change planes for Plymouth passengers). They will launch on April 28 and operate year round.
