Jet2 announce Rome flights
05.08.11
Jet2 will launch flights between Glasgow and Rome next March. The budget airline will offer up to three flights a week over summer, in competition with Ryanair, which operates services to Rome from nearby Prestwick Airport.
It is the third new route from Glasgow Airport announced by Jet2 in as many months, following the addition of Madrid and Barcelona. The airline started operations from Glasgow four months ago and now flies to 14 destinations, including Ibiza, Lanzarote and Malaga.
The new flights will operate to Fiumicino Airport - Rome's main airport - cost from £29.99 one way including taxes. Ryanair flies to Rome's smaller Ciampino Airport.
