New 'premium budget' airport hotel opened

The Real Hotel Company has opened its first Purple hotel in Scotland near Glasgow Airport. The new 'premium budget' hotel has 103 rooms - including standard, executive and family - with rates from £59 per night.

A spokesman for Real says that its new budget brand as an affordable but stylish alternative to Travelodge and Premier Inns. Each room has air conditioning, walk in showers, Wi-Fi, a big desk, flat-screen television, a large bed and lots of space compared to its rivals.
Iain Hamilton, general manager of the new Glasgow Airport hotel, said: 'This hotel will bring a new dimension to the market place with its no frills chic style, providing clients with everything they need and nothing they don't need. You get a huge amount of room for not very much money.'
Just off Junction 26 of the M8, the hotel is 4 miles by motorway from Glasgow Airport and 10 minutes by car from the city centre (depending on traffic). It has a 'funky café-bar and lounge on the ground floor' that serves breakfast in the morning, a range of snacks, drinks, and light meals for lunch or dinner and Lavazza coffee and snacks all day long.
