American cancel Chicago flights
American Airlines today axed its flights between Glasgow Airport and Chicago. The airline is understood to be restructuring its UK and Ireland operations and has decided to stop the summer service which ran between the two airports.
American only relaunched this year's seasonal service between Glasgow and Chicago on May 2. The flights, which took 8 hours, were expected to operate daily until September 30, but today the airline pulled the plug on the route after airline sources siad passenger uptake has not been as good as expected.
