Virgin confirm extra Orlando flights

Virgin Atlantic has confirmed that it will double its flights between Glasgow and Orlando during the summer of 2011. The additional flights will mean Virgin will offer 26,000 more seats to the Florida increasing its total summer seat capacity to 45,000.
Overall the airline carried over 850,000 passengers to Orlando in 2009. Steve Ridgway, Chief Executive of Virgin Atlantic, said: 'The decision underlines our pledge to fly long-haul destinations from regional airports. These Glasgow flights are going to be a welcome boost to our current services.'
The services will operate directly each Saturday and Sunday between April 2 and October 30.
