Motorway maintenance to hit Glasgow Airport this weekend
Passengers heading for Glasgow airport by road this weekend should plan for disruption on the M8, as 'essential resurfacing work' will take place.
The resurfacing work will take place between Saturday night and Monday morning, affecting the M8 eastbound between Junction 29 at St James' Interchange and Junction 28 Interchange at Glasgow Airport.
Drivers will be able to use the outside lane only between J29 and J28, from Saturday night until 22:00 on Sunday. After that the entire carriageway between these two junctions will be closed until 06:00 Monday morning. The A737 eastbound carriageway will also be shut throughout the weekend.
Diversions will be in place and clearly signposted. The traffic will be redirected through Paisley, from St James' Interchange to rejoin the M8, eastbound at J27, Arkleston.
