easyJet announce Paris flights
easyJet has announced it will launch flights to Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport in the Autumn. The new daily service between Glasgow and Paris will start on October 29, with fares from £21.99 one way (£45.01 return) including tax.
Glasgow was the only one of Scotland's four main airports not to have regular services to the French capital. Ryanair, easyJet's no-frills rival, currently offers the only link between the cities, with flights to Beauvais from its base at Glasgow Prestwick.
David Osborne, easyJet UK general manager, said: 'The new Paris flight will be the only direct link between Glasgow Airport and Paris' main city airport. The route is expected to be popular for business travellers as well as those looking for a few days of culture or a shopping trip.'
easyJet expects that nearly 100,000 passengers will use the link in the first 12 months. The airline will also start flights from Edinburgh to Paris Charles De Gaulle on September 10.
