Flyglobespan launch Canada routes today
A major expansion at Scottish low cost airline Flyglobespan takes off this week. The airline is launching flights from 13 airports across the UK and Ireland - including Gatwick, Stansted, Manchester, Belfast and Glasgow Airport - to three destinations in Canada - Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver.
Flights from Glasgow to Toronto take off today with the price of a single ticket starting at £99, including taxes. On Friday the airline will begin its first flights from Glasgow to Calgary and Vancouver from as little as £129.
The Toronto service will operate from Glasgow Airport three times a week, but will double to six a week from the end of June. Flights to Calgary will be weekly, and there will be a twice weekly service to Vancouver.
Flyglobespan has yet to finalise its winter programme, but the Canadian services are expected to continue throughout the year, with a drop in frequency over the Christmas period.
