Security staff unhappy over Christmas parcel hunt
02.01.10
Glasgow Airport security officers spent hours over the Christmas break hunting for parcels that had been hidden by their bosses, the Daily Record reports. Managers devised a ‘hunt the parcel’ game to keep staff on their toes over the quiet festive period.
However, security officers told the newspaper that the game was a waste of their time. An employee said: ‘When I was a kid, I used to play hunt-the-thimble. I felt like I was five years old again. It was ridiculous.’ An airport spokeswoman said: ‘Our security staff are continually assessed. Safety of the airport is paramount.’
